Ok, so since around October to 2009 I have been a regular you-tuber watcher of make-up videos, but a few of the guru's have really caught my attention and I now have my favorites that I like to watch. They consist of, and in no particular order, Lollipop26, Kandeethemakeupartist, pixiwoo, and allthatglitters21. Each has there own unique style and way os doing videos and I like each guru for different reasons. While I am not brave enough, or have the video editing software to actually make videos yet, I felt that I could make a blog and talk about my thought and get advice from everyone else out there on products and technique.
I am relatively new to the whole world of "serious" make-up users and find it all fascinating. I love that I can play with my face ad change my look each day without having to do any thing permanent. I also like that I can express my creativity in a way that no one I am acquainted with on a daily basis does with make-up.
So, enouh of the intro and on to my first real topic, what for it......
Primer!!!!
Here's the deal, I had oily skin when I was in high school but since college, the skin has changed to be combination oily. I had been using concealer on my eyes for a primer(although I didn't know until a few months ago that is what I was using it in place of!) and it only lasts for a few hours. It seems that the main primers that people talk about are the mac paintpots and the urban decay primer potion. But which works best? Which will be the best bang for my buck? See, I'm not really willing to go spend a lot of money on something only to find out that it still creases a few hours later! Any advice is welcome!
My next question:
Bronzer!
I have a cheap bronzer that is really a tinted shimmer. It is actually called "Glimmer Bronze" by, I'm embarassed to admit it, Bonnebell. Yes I picked it up in the grocery store in the aisle I think of as the kiddie make up like Lipsmackers and wet n' wild. At the time I thought it would just be something fun to add some color and I like shimmer. Since getting into make-up more, I realize that this is kind of an oximoron of a product. Don't I want a bronzer to be matte so that it actually does what it is supposed to do when I use it to contour? Any suggestions for a bronzer for someone with medium-olive skintone?
